ALMOST LOST COUNT
A great week in Canada. Our first day was countless. Some friends and I were spending a week at the K/O lodge near Deep River, Canada. We fished a small lake. The guide at the lodge called it a "confidance builder lake." My freinds and I didn't need the confidance. We just wanted to catch a lot of fish.
My friends and I decided to have a little friendly competition. The most fish landed wins. The losers would have to pack up all the gear and get the boat back on the trailer while the winner relaxed with a cold beer.
By late afternoon we were having trouble keeping count. By the end of the day the winner had about 50 fish with the losers right behind him. Keep in mind most of these fish were keepers, not like the little fish in some of the over-fished parts of the U.S.
The locals call it an Amateur lake. We called it just alot of fun. We will return to this lake on our next trip to Canada.
