This site is for all the weekend warriors that try to get out on the water every chance they can.  Although, there never seems to be enough time! 

If you have ever wondered how you stack up against other fishermen in your area, what they are catching, where they are catching, and what lures the fish are hitting, then this is the site for you.
Have you ever wanted to enter a Fishing Tournament but didn't have the money, a boat, the time, or a fishing partner? 

As a member of Amateur-Angler, every time you fish, whether it's an hour after work, or a week-long trip, you can be competing in a tournament. Every time your lure hits the water, you have a chance to win.
It's this simple, Go Fishing, Catch a fish, Log On, Enter your catch. That's it, you are now entered in a Fishing tournament. It only takes one good catch to win.    

Winners from each region of the country will win prizes for the biggest catch.

Even if you don't win, the top Anglers from each region will have bragging rites as their names and photographs are posted in our Hall Of Fame. (Fall of 2010)
